Wings of Fire Book Review

Introduction

“This story is history, I hope, not only to overcome my sorrows but to the success and success set in the scientific center of modern India, which strives for technological excellence. It is a matter of nationalism and collaborative efforts. ”

And the book fits that description perfectly. This is the story of a dreamy new nation. For anyone outside the dreams of this nation are beyond their power and resources. But it is the dreamers, with their great determination and hard work, who overcome all obstacles, and achieve a united dream. The dream was calling for India. This is what India stands for, and always will be.

This book is a very faithful reminder by Kalam. He describes his journey - from his childhood to being an Indian thrower - as it happened. One can feel emotions, as they move you up and down in the story. Such a pure letter, could only be written by a man with a pure heart.

Born into a middle-class family in Tamil, raised by loving parents, Kalam passed on from his peaceful childhood days to the holy city of Rameshwaram. His father was a very religious man, and so was Rameshwaram. These attributes are written in Kalam and appear on almost every page of the book. His love of science, however, is less affected by the love of spiritual things.

Kalam then took on his school and college life, various teachers and professors who trained him. His first job interviews and work experience followed. He describes each of his projects in detail. And as he describes them, humility in his situation is evident. He not only remembers who the partners were working on which parts of the projects, but also their difficulties and successes. You will often find him honoring all the achievements of his team members and mentors.

This book is not only about the success of her projects - Nandi, SLV, Prithvi, Agni, etc., but also about the same failures. He does not make up for his shortcomings, and he describes his feelings as raw. For Kalam his job was bigger than life. It can be seen in the poem he wrote after Agni's successful presentation.

Don't look at Agni as a top-down organization

to prevent shock or to show your power

It is a fire in the heart of an Indian

Do not even give the arrow form

as it clings to the hot pride of this nation

and thus it shines.

Vikram Sarabhai's view of India's space program, as well as Abdul Kalam's Indian independence in the field of arrow technology can best be described in the following lines by von Braun, which he stated in an interview with Abdul Kalam.

“Complete commitment is not just about working hard, it is about being fully involved. Building a stone wall is a daunting task. There are some people who build stone walls all their lives. And when they die, there are miles of walls, dumb evidence of how hard those people worked.

But there are some men who while putting one stone on top of another have a vision in their mind, a goal. It could be a shelf with roses climbing over rocky walls and chairs reserved for lazy summer days. Either the rock wall closes the apple orchard or mark the border. When they finish they have more than a wall. It is a goal that makes a difference. Don't make rocket your job, your livelihood, your religion, and your job. ”

While I do not want to describe the projects that Kalam has undertaken in detail, which he did so carefully in his book, I simply highlight its importance and the impact I would like to write on how the world reacted after the successful assassination of Agni arrows. No one could believe that India had traditionally developed a technological feat, which was achieved only by a few nations. There has been speculation that Germany or France will help India. The U.S. Senator also went so far as to suggest that Kalam take everything he needed from the arrows during his four-month stay on Wallop Island. Not surprisingly, Kalam had a good sense of humor in all these articles.

Some Criticism

Although this book is read by everyone who encourages it, it is not one of the best-written books. It captures, when Kalam writes about his experience, but it’s easy to get lost when he writes about his projects with great detail. And sometimes I felt like you gave too much detail about all the teams' and individual work on the projects.

Towards the end of the book Kalam gives a great message to the youth. With the inclusion of a forum for lazy positions in India, it is easy for one to give up all hopes and blame everything about the system. But Kalam leads us by example.

“I hope [his journey] will help at least a few young people to stand up to dictatorship in our society. A prominent feature of this social authority is its deceptive ability to lure people into the endless pursuit of foreign rewards, wealth, prestige, position, promotions, personal life permits, ceremonial honors, and symbols of all kinds.

In order to achieve these goals effectively, they need to learn extended rules of conduct and familiarize themselves with customs, traditions, conventions, and so forth. Today's youth should not learn this degrading way of life. Only the culture of materialism and rewards should be discarded. ”
